Last week, Wendy and I had the opportunity to be able to participate in the re-creation of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico from October 9th to the 14th.
The street painting festival, Festival Bella Via in its fourth year is growing in popularity throughout the region and throughout Mexico. More than fifty (50) Mexican artists, students, and a team of American Madonnari, coordinated by professional artist Tracy Lee Stum worked together for one week from early morning until dusk producing this fine street painting.
Although the street painting is scaled down significantly from the original masterwork by Michelangelo; the dedication and commitment of all of the artists was not scaled down at all.
