The City of Santa Clarita, CA is having their popular street art festival on Main Street, Old Town Newhall on September 27th from 10am to 9pm and September 28th from 10am to 6pm with a full scheduler of art and activities for all.
Art Stop Project: Bring art and the community together through displays of public art on bus stops in Santa Clarita during the month of September. Here is a list of the artists who have been selected for this exciting project.
Art on Canvas: The City of Santa Clarita invites all artists from school age through professional to enter an original artwork in the Art on Canvas Gallery at the Street Art Festival. All submissions will be displayed at the Dance Block section of the festival.
Street Painters at the Fine Art Block (sponsored by Ivy Day Spa): You can see stills of street painters at work from 2005 through 2007 at this link.
Entertainment at the Community Stage: Full schedules of entertainment (music and dance) from such performers as Blue Plate Special, Can-Un-Drum, Claire Diane, Mike Hurwitz, Steve Gail, world music, and much more.
Pat's Art Zone: A children's arts area, dedicated to Pat Craig, an artist and advocate for art in its many forms.
Fine Art, Pop Art and More: You will be able to see many examples of arts and crafts at the Festival.
