Blog Now on streetpainting.tv has a new post from international street painting Madonnara, Valentina Sforzini who brings the update on the Madonnari Guanajuato Festival to us:
Madonnari at the exhibition area at Guanajuato
"The second edition of the Madonnari Festival took place 27-28th November 2010. Guanajuato is a city of art and culture, a meeting point of many artists both national and international; street painting in this beautiful colonial city was just amazing."
"The festival was also a competition that involved many talented Mexican artists facing the theme of the Mexican Revolution and Independence."

"The beautiful entrance of the Juarez theatre hosted the exhibition of the featured artists Joel Yau and Julio Jimenez from California, Valentina Sforzini from Italy, and the national artists Juandres Vera, Marisol Antillon, Adry del Rocio, Valentino Salas, and Geraldo Salas."

"The Guanajuato atmosphere was a kind of magic, something that really contributes to create interesting social connections and, in my personal view, this festival was a unique opportunity to share an amazing experience with really good friends, artists that I use to meet in many festivals around the world. This is one of the most incredible opportunities that street painting gives us: being able to work with international friends travelling around the world."
The madonnari together at Guanajuato Festival 2010:
"Street painting creates special friendships; this is the case of Adry del Rocio amd me. As she came with her brother Carlos Alberto Garcia to Europe and we spent our summer vactions there particpating in street painting, this was my turn to reach her in her surrealistic country painting togther. That's the best way to be friends: sharing experiences, travelling together. Just because of ART." [All quotes by Valentina Sforzini]
