As Blog Now on streetpainting.tv covers the 2012 street painting festival season, we turn to the oldest running festival in the USA, the I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival in Santa Barbara, CA.
Beginning in 1986 and founded by Kathy Koury who brought the concept of this festival from the International Street Painting Festival in Grazie Di Curtatone, Italy, the I Madonnari has been and remains a cornerstone in the US street painting community. This festival benefits the Childrens Creative Project, a nonprofit arts education program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office serving 50,000 children in 100 schools in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

Looking forward to seeing 2012's new street paintings from I Madonnari!
If you are street painting this year, we want to hear from you. Please send images for Blog Now on streetpainting.tv to add on an upcoming post.
